Since this is a small editorial blog, I originally felt that my opinion didn’t matter enough to be anything more than a thought experiment for game designers. I always knew that this was a very opinionated article, and it only represented one perspective on the value and future of GoldieBlox and other toys/games made to introduce girls to STEM fields. ![]() There were also thoughts about the high price of games to the consumer and how that could prevent lower-income families from enjoying them. A lot of the comments on the article and people’s thoughts on Twitter criticized it for having a narrow perspective on what toys are and how children play with them. ![]() Well, it wasn’t actually that recent, but The Mary Sue’s version of it was published today. Recently, I wrote an article about the Kickstarter-funded construction toy GoldieBlox. ![]()
